Our Services
UNDERSTANDING WASP & STINGING INSECT ACTIVITY IN THE PACIFIC NORTHWEST
Stinging insects are common throughout Western Washington, especially during warmer months. Nests are often found under eaves, in wall voids, attics, sheds, trees, and landscaped areas.
Because wasps and hornets can be aggressive when nests are disturbed, professional treatment is strongly recommended to reduce the risk of stings and injury.
Effective stinging insect control focuses on:
- Identifying the species present
- Locating active nests and harborage areas
- Using targeted treatment methods
- Reducing conditions that attract nesting activity near the structure

COMMON STINGING INSECTS WE TREAT
Our wasp and stinging insect control services address many of the most common species found in the Pacific Northwest, including:
- Yellow jackets
- Paper wasps (including European paper wasps)
- Bald-faced hornets
- European hornets
- Mud dauber wasps
Service Plan vs. Additional Service
Certain solitary or low-aggression wasps—such as European paper wasps, mud daubers, and similar species—may be addressed as part of our Ongoing Pest Management (Year-Round Pest Control) service plans when activity is limited and nests are readily accessible.
More aggressive or defensive stinging insects—including yellowjackets, hornets, and similar species—typically require specialized safety equipment, additional labor, and targeted treatment due to nest size, location, and elevated safety risks. These services are not included in recurring service plans and are considered additional services, subject to separate pricing and scheduling.
STINGING INSECTS NOT COVERED UNDER STANDARD SERVICE
To maintain clear expectations, standard wasp and stinging insect control does not include:
- Honey bees
- Bumble bees
- Other protected or beneficial pollinators
- Wildlife or non-insect pest issues
If bee activity is suspected, we may recommend contacting a licensed beekeeper or local resource for safe relocation when appropriate.

PRICING & LIMITED WARRANTY
Wasp & Stinging Insect Control Pricing
Wasp and stinging insect treatments start at $189.00 + tax. Pricing may vary based on nest location, species, accessibility, and the number of nests present.
Limited Warranty
Stinging insect treatments include a 45-day limited warranty related to the original nest treated. If activity from the original nest persists within this period and inspection shows it was not fully eliminated, we will re-treat the original nest at no additional charge.
This warranty applies only to the originally treated nest and does not cover new or relocated nests elsewhere on the property.
Because stinging insects may establish new nests in different locations, ongoing monitoring or additional services may be recommended.
ONGOING PREVENTION OPTIONS
While many stinging insect issues can be resolved with targeted treatment, some properties experience recurring nesting due to location or environmental conditions.
In these cases, a Service Plan (Year-Round Pest Control) may help reduce nesting pressure by monitoring activity and addressing conducive conditions.
WHO THIS SERVICE IS BEST FOR
Wasp and stinging insect control is a good fit for:
- Homes with active nests near doors, eaves, or living areas
- Properties with recurring yellowjacket activity
- Customers concerned about sting risks

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
Many stinging insects become aggressive when their nest is disturbed. Professional treatment reduces the risk of stings and ensures the nest is addressed safely.
When safe and appropriate, nests may be removed following treatment. In some cases, treatment alone is sufficient to eliminate activity when in voids or inaccessible areas.
While treatment eliminates the active nest, new nests can form elsewhere on the property. Ongoing prevention and monitoring can help reduce future nesting.
